Pao (say “pow”) is a women-founded business created in 2018 by Anna Zervos, Maddie Myall, and Sara Zervos. The company currently has two arms: the first is a positive-only, Gen Z-friendly version of Yelp that focuses on small, hidden gem businesses. From hikes to restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries, and hotels, the Pao app shows you the coolest spots and helps you get there in a fun and social way. The app has over 100,000 users and 55,000 hidden gems from over 150 countries. Our main marketing platforms for the app are TikTok and IG where we currently have hundreds of thousands of followers across our various city accounts. On these accounts we highlight some of our favorite local gems and urge our audience to download our app to find even more.

The Role You’ve Been Waiting For

In this role, you will work hand in hand with both the Sales Team & the Client Operations Team to research and communicate with businesses who may be potential clients for the Pao brand and its services. You will be in charge of researching new potential partnerships, performing outreach to businesses through various channels of communication, and scheduling pitch calls with our Sales Representatives. This role will be a part-time, commission-based, contractor position. Your managers will be Catalina, Business Development Director, and Anna, CEO.

Individuals in this role must have a passion for helping small businesses and story telling through the world of social media. You must possess strong communication skills, creativity, local knowledge of important happenings, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment and culture. Creative vision is key to the success of this role.
